About
Hello, My name is Siddharth Sahasrabudhe.
Let me tell you little about my selves. I was born and bought up in Pune. Pune,
is a city in state of Maharashtra and geographically at eastern part of India.
Pune is often referred to as the”Oxford of the East” because of its
educational institutions and has historically been a major cultural centre.
I am a Mechanical Engineer by profession. I am also Project Management
Professional and Agile Certified Practitioner from Project Management
Institute, USA in good standing.
With over a two decades of experience in Project Management, I have
successfully delivered projects in a wide range of domains, including
Automotive, IT, and Infrastructure. I have had the opportunity to lead and
collaborate with multicultural teams spread across different geographical
regions.
I was also instrumental in setting up Project Management Office (PMO) in
large organisation.
Now I am a solopreneur. I support my family by running this platform, writing
blogs on project management, creating learning resources, and consulting
startups.
Why I started pmfornonpm community?
Projects are the life blood of any organization. You’ll find them everywhere, often disguised as strategies,
initiatives, or organizational transformations. Yet, many organizations still treat projects as routine operations.
Picture this: You’re tasked with a strategic initiative. As the project progresses, it becomes increasingly
difficult, beset by delays and budget overruns. Unfortunately, interest in the project wanes, leaving you as
frustrated soul. I have experienced it all.
Why this happens?
The problem is not with you. You are a wonderful manager. However, the problem is in using right set of
project management tools and processes, which you may not be aware of.
How can you change this?
You need awareness. I am a strong believer that, everyone of us is a Project Manager in our personal and professional lives. In you have arranged a birthday party, then you are already a project manager. But are you aware that you are handling a project?
You need a framework. Framework is set of processes, systems and tools. When you have a framework in place, you are driven by systems and processes and not by individual whims and desires.
I started out this platform to make you aware that your are a project manager and in your journey as a project manager, give you a helping hand by introducing you to the project management framework.
Who is this platform for?
Well ,anyone who is…
Unknowingly doing a work as project manager
A functional manager who finds himself working on projects..
- Accidental project manager
- Anyone with specific domain knowledge but does not have a formal project management training
Projects are complex endeavors, not because of the technological marvels they produce, but because they involve human emotions. Within projects, you can witness chaos, discipline, frustration, anger, anxiety, and nearly every other emotion you can think of. That’ s why I find project management such a fascinating field. I hope you also agree!
